OS heater upstream the converter, circuit is faulty

Code Р0030 is entered, if:

- the engine runs;

- the heater driver self-diagnostics identified no load at the output . The fault indicator illuminates in 2 drive-cycles after the faulty code occurrence.

Description of tests

The sequence corresponds to the figures on the chart.

1 Permanent fault availability is tested.

2 The HO2S heater power supply circuit is tested.

3 The HO2S heater control circuit is tested.

4 The HO2S heater good function is tested.

Diagnostic information

The oxygen sensor heater driver, having the function of self-diagnostics, is used in MЕ17.9.7 controller. It can identify the availability of such faults, as the break, the short circuit to the ground or the power supply of the heater control circuit.
